Ash returned to World, to her home, but the place it's non the same afterwards those years, the industries of replicants -Tyrell Corporation- closed after several fights and a revolution where people hunt the final replicants, and the remainder of them hibernate amongst the population. However , there are still a price over Ash for murder and kidnapping. I similar in this volume the return to World and discover that there are no really changes just more despair, and the industries had evolutioned to hibernate besides, however using the knowlege of Isobel and Cleo.
The catastrophe is really cliche , a down for the volume. (view spoiler)[ WHy Cleo had to be dorsum , for closure? She is still in danger. And not even a word near if the utopia is true or not. (hide spoiler)]

And so on the last part of the Blade Runner series 2019. Information technology seems that even with the failure of the latest picture (I enjoyed it although it appears that many did not) there is however no waning of love for the story, with a new pic in development (allegedly, an animated series and more than books and graphic novels on the way.And then what is the entreatment I wonder - I accept no idea merely I am loving information technology. And so why not a total 5 stars for this book - well I am not sure only it felt a little rushed to be honest. Yous have a new set of characters, a new world - although for those that know the flick - it feels so familiar, you would accept idea that the story could have gone anywhere. For those that take read the series and then far you know information technology actually did - so this volume I guess felt a trivial apartment in comparison.
Now you know me and full avoidance of spoilers then I volition attempt and go on to that run only I have to say that I wonder the reason for this rather toning down of the story is in support of further additions to the franchise - after all this is fully authorised after all. I do not know - and yes it is not enough to put me off I am but trying to trigger my cynicism here, so although this was a fun series and hey my heart skips every time I run across a spinner - I do wonder if something was kept back for future publications.

I was a little disappointed in this book. The story is good, and I similar Ash'south characters and development, purchase I e'er have had a problem with a hero who needs saving as much equally, or more than that who they are supposed to helping. The outcome/affiliate of this book is a prequel, going back to Ash'southward early years and her outset Blade Runner case. I think this book is finally saying goodbye to Ash'due south sometime life and if she survives the start of a new i. I would have probobly given this five (or aleast iv) stars if Ash did non need saving every few pages

Dwelling AGAIN, Abode AGAIN is about Ash and Cleo's return to Earth where they attempt to deal with the looming specter of the billionaire out for their blood. Earth has changed dramatically. The Replicants launched an assail to destroy the Tyrell Corporation's records, preventing Blade Runners from being able to identify them amid the populace. This ways that the public is a lot more hostile to them than they used to be.We run across the Replicant surreptitious and have a surprising romance for Ash. I like her grapheme development and how she's gradually come to detest her past as a robot hunter. Information technology has a solid ending to the Cleo/Selwyn plotline, which works well. I liked it more for the worldbuilding than the plot but the characterization was spot on.
The art, equally earlier, is fantastic and I really tin can't await to get into 2029.

The first volume was really slap-up and felt like Blade Runner. The second and third, this volume, feel like 1 really protracted arc that could have been condensed. And it shifts from the interesting questions and world building from one, into this salve and be saved trip the light fantastic toe that over stays it's welcome. The bad guy especially just didn't experience as intelligent equally what you'd expect from the world of Blade Runner either. Specially over this long a menstruation.
The fine art is still keen, the dialogue serviceable, and there are certainly bits of globe building that even so occur. A pleasance to read, but did not exceed the expectations prepare from the first volume. That said, I volition 100% continue on to the 2029 storyline. Still a good fourth dimension.

I liked it!The ending and pretty much the tertiary volume was much amend than the previous ane, dare I say better than the 1st volume besides. Much more interesting and more original than the "protect the kid" arc.

Solid story that wasn't anything that will change your life or something, but still dainty and interesting for the universe that'south takes identify.
Artwork is where it's at for this one, the artwork is amazing and the coloring too! The Bract Runner world drawn by Andres Guinaldo is pretty much exactly like the world yous see in the movie, and even more expanded and even better than the motion picture because you come across much more of it and different aspects of it. It's simply great!
Are you a fan of the Blade Runner films/books? Than this you shouldn't miss!

Blade Runner 2019 is a unique blend of hardboiled noir and grungy sci-fi. It possesses elements of the original Blade Runner picture and builds on some of the mystery that was introduced in the sequel film 2049 such as the coma and the replicant resistance. Yet, at the aforementioned time, the comic is able to be its own thing separately. No knowledge of Blade Runner or BR:2049 needed to enjoy this story. The first issue/chapter of this book is a prequel, going back to Ash's early years and her first Bract Runner case. Information technology was a fleck confusing. The rest of the book continues from the final volume. Ash is back in LA for one reason: to keep the promise she made at the cease of volume ane. Ash is back for a confrontation with Cleo'due south male parent - the agribusiness tycoon Alexander Selwyn who had sold his daughter to Eldon Tyrell for genetic experiments.
Overall, the ending did not feel as climactic every bit information technology should have. Peradventure if Selwyn had found his daughter off-world somehow and kidnapped her...the stand-off with him and Ash would have been more than powerful.
Still, I'd beloved to see Vol.1 to Vol.3 adapted into a pic. The world-building is bang-up and Ash is an awesome character. I just experience similar the stakes slowly dissolve as the story evolves. It's Ash and Cleo's bond that is moving & thought-provoking.
...moreGood conclusion to the get-go story arc - we follow Ash as she tries to blend in a world that changed dramatically after the Blackout event. World is shaken and left in ruins, loss
Decision of first story arc. Ash returns to Earth equally a changed woman. Having a change of center when it comes to replicants she is at present trying to help them. But she also knows that she must face up the corporate mogul hunting his daughter across the colonized space - everything is getting ready for the final showdown.Good decision to the offset story arc - we follow Ash as she tries to alloy in a earth that changed dramatically after the Coma event. Earth is shaken and left in ruins, loss of information on replicants is now treated every bit an all out phone call for their extermination wherever they are found. Ash, having spent six years in space colonies tries to change her own life and works on saving lives for a modify (instead of taking them).
Art, equally is case with all previous books, is true joy for the eyes.
Highly recommended to all fans of cyberpunk and SF in general.

This Blade Runner 2019 series has been exceptional, with phenomenal world-building, expert graphic symbol piece of work, and potent artwork. For a spin-off of a movie series, I'chiliad continually surprised by how much I beloved it. Definitely giving this volume five stars as more of a full series review. Cannot wait for Blade Runner 2029.

iv AND one/ii STARSThis tertiary volume of the Bladerunner 2019 trilogy, for me, wrapped up very respectably, satisfying well-nigh of my expectations. Returning artist Andres Guinaldo continues to upwardly the ante with his increasingly astonishing artwork; the rain, the neon lights bleeding across the page, and the compages are reason enough to buy this title. As it does in prior volumes, this likewise includes the monthly covers besides a wait at select pages in pencil where you can run across Guinaldo's initial concept layouts, pages with concluding pencils, pages colored without dialogue, then pages with the terminal dialogue added. This a fascinating wait behind the scenes at how much work goes into this product. I can't expect for the side by side trilogy in this ongoing series, Bladerunner 2029.
